शेनॉय ने टैक्स वसूली में गड़बड़ी, भ्रष्टाचार और गलत खर्च पर भी जानकारी मांगी और यह जानना चाहा कि दोषी अधिकारियों पर क्या कार्रवाई हुई।
उन्होंने पिछले 5 वर्षों में “ब्युटीफिकेशन” के नाम पर हुए खर्च और फुटपाथ पर बनाए गए सजावटी ढांचे के लिए पुलिस, ट्रैफिक, बीएमसी और अन्य विभागों की अनुमति के दस्तावेज भी मांगे।
RTI में यह भी पूछा गया कि फिक्स डिपॉजिट और इमरजेंसी फंड का कितना पैसा निकाला गया और टैक्स बढ़ाने से कुल कितनी रकम ज्यादा वसूली जा रही है।
उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि यदि जानकारी देने के बजाय आवेदन को अवैध रूप से किसी अन्य विभाग को भेजा गया, तो वह कानून के तहत दंडनीय होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि यह मामला जनहित से जुड़ा है और जवाबदेही जरूरी है।
